A two colour circular bas-relief portrait plaque cast in jesmonite and fitted with a small plate disc for hanging.
The original portrait plaques from this series are believed to be English, circa 1840.

This triumphal arch is meticulously built by hand in the Parvum Opus Michigan bindery. Like their obelisks, this design is inspired by the souvenirs collected by travellers embarking on the Grand Tour in centuries past, with an eye to the classical proportions of the great triumphal arches in cities like Paris, Bucharest and Rome. Each arch is made from more than 60 hand-cut archival book boards and in collaboration with Bridie Hall, covered in the faux French Grand Antique Marble paper, painted by artist Ian Harper for Bridie and exclusive to Pentreath & Hall.

Colour is at the very heart of everything Bridie produces. Formerly a specialist painter of interiors, she has continued to keep up the practice through her homeware range. The latest of which are the glass & brass column lamp bases.
The strengthened glass columns are painted by Bridie then assembled with unfinished brass top and bottom plates. Over time the brass, if left unpolished, will develop a mellow patina making the colour of the column all the richer.
The lamp is fitted with a bayonet light fitting and a brown silk flex.
A 16” empire lampshade is recommended.
