Pentreath & Hall turned 10 in November 2018 and in celebration we published a book: The Pentreath & Hall Alphabet. Cataloguing our many inspirations in a rich, visual anthology, this compendium of objects, people, paintings, places and ideas gives readers a satisfying insight into our hearts and minds. A love letter of sorts to the tiny corner of Bloomsbury where it all began; our lighthearted, considered notes impart our thoughts, motivations and memories to reveal the bonds we share and the lessons we have learned in life and shop-keeping.
Ben says “We’ve never had a manifesto, because to write down our belief system seems too rigid and organized for our way of thinking. But in compiling our alphabet of things we love, we have got as close as we ever will to unravelling the tapestry – all those strands – that make us tick in this messy, complicated, rich, happy life.”
Over 200 pages of inspiration, with a foreword by Bible of British Taste’s Ruth Guilding. Proudly printed in Dorset, England.
The world of P&H couldn’t exist without books. We are not a bookshop, but our lives are overflowing with books. We understand that there must be people who predict a day when tablets and smart phones will replace books, but we don’t believe them. To prove it we’ve created the P&H canvas book bag to take the strain! Not strictly for books, our double lined canvas bag with its signature P&H pink and green handle makes it extremely durable for toting almost everything, including your tablets and smartphones.
Dimensions: bag height 35cm, bag width 30cm, bag depth 6cm. Handle height 20cm.
